Manifesto In Progress

I am currently not taking commissions, but you can contact me if you want help.

No artwork is complete until it is documented with images and writing.

Photographing art is just writing an artist statement with images.

A good document should always be about the art, not the photographer.

Artists love progress shots; non-artists love final shots.

When in doubt, stand as far away as possible and zoom in.

All art is meaningful if you frame it right.

Art is generally hung sixty inches above the ground from the center of the work. The camera should be at the same height.

You don’t need a ladder to document your work. The camera is just fine.

Art is not judged by its industrial efficiency. Every artwork made took the artist’s entire life to materialise.

More soon.
